Labour, Social Security and Transport
Information in this section is captured from three (3) government entities. The labour component refers to employment in the public sector, which is the total number of persons employed by central government and the rest of the public sector. The second component social security is the number of pensioners, that is, the number of persons who would have retired from the age of 60 from both the public and private sector. The final component, transportation refers to the registration of new motor vehicles annually by the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA).
